Are you practicing complete stages or just sequences?

Usually, I’m focusing on different, always recurring sequences but sometimes I’m also combining different challenges to a complete run. Here, it’s the draw to an activator plate, the transition back and forth, changes in target sizes and splits, leaving and entering shooting positions and the movement between etc. etc.
Still a lot of work to do and to get used to the unfamiliar open division platform!

my setup for today’s practice session on the 50m

my setup for today’s practice session on the 50m indoor range: I combined full size IPSC targets with some minis (open and covered by noshoots), added some mini plates to simulate far distance IPSC poppers and garnished the setup with a micro target. Shot in different ways - offhand, attached to a pole or from the kneeling bipod. Solid practice session for the upcoming IPSC Nationals!

About yesterday

The CZC European Open 2025 have been a blast! The crew raised with this match the bar again - they built up 19 fantastic stages of high class IPSC - precision, speed, athletic, technique, moving stuff all over, food for thought - they had it all - and plenty of it! And the best - every stage had its own flow and it was a pleasure to solve them! Thanks a lot to all organizing, building and helping hands and all range officers making this possible!

Are you facing precision problems with your rifles

Are you facing precision problems with your rifles and your groups start to open up inexplicably?
Does your compensator have a pressure chamber?
You may want to check your compensator! I’ve noticed recently, that I wasn’t able to shoot decent groups when I checked zero (I’m doing this from time to time, especially when there’s a major match ahead). So I went straight back home to the workbench and took the compensators off - this is what I found… there has been some clogging by a lot of carbon built up in the pressure chamber. Also some kind of “fake muzzle” has been grown directly in front of the muzzle causing the precision issues. I reamed them as good as possible and as you can see by the last pictures, the groups came back nicely! 😮‍💨
Sometimes it’s not the Indian, but the bow!
The pics are not the nicest arranged ones as they’re just taken for my own documentary and “digital brain” but they’re telling the story pretty good as I think. Did any one of you ever had similar issues?
