Kahles K16i – 1-6×24 Abs. SI-1

Though I announced, that I´ll get a Helia5 from Kahles, I got now a K16i! Actually, the K16i should only be available for public authorities in Germany. But the great success in the 3-Gun market of the US brought Kahles to the decision to make the scope also available to the public in Germany. Good decision!

But first, before I describe my subjective opinion about the scope – the hard facts:

  • Field of view (ft/100yds) 127-20,1
  • Exit pupil (inch) 0,374-0,157
  • Eye relief (inch) 3,74
  • Dioptric compensation (dpt) 2/-3,5
  • Twilight factor (DIN 58388) 3,1-12
  • Impact pt. Corr. Per click (inch/100yds) 0,54
  •  Elevation/Windage Adj. Range (m/100m) 2,2
  • Tube diameter (inch) 1,18
  • Lenght (inch) 10,9
  • Weight (oz) 16,9
  • Objective filter thread M27x0,75
  • integrated “Cat-Tail”

Kahles K624tt auf STI AR15 – erster Test

I gave the K624tt a first try today on my STI AR15. Zeroed it at 50m on my home range, to make it easier then on the 100 and 300m range in Philippsburg. What a fantastic scope! Sharp and very high contrast. Precise adjustment. Fine arts! Unfortunately, I have to return it to Kahles after my tests. I really would like to keep it…
